This is a vote for so many things I can’t list them all. Personally, I could see the first verse being Elena and Stefan finally making up and going upstairs (if you know what I mean), then cutting to Damon closing the door behind him and walking out / looking back longingly during the first set of ‘bye bye’s as the camera pans out on him walking away into the dark; then for the next verse cutting to Caroline in her room looking at a picture/text/something of Tyler but then on ‘don’t look down’ she looks out her window and sees Klaus (maybe even just a hallucinated one or a reflection in the window… since he’s in Tyler lol). …at least, that’s what my head sees when this song plays haha. This one works in so many ways. I’d love to hear you guys’ interpretations. What do you hear? Tell me!

EDIT: LOL, wow guys, my bad, turns out this was already in the show. LOL! I guess I know I’m picking good TVD songs at least. HA. IMHO, though, the way they used it really squandered such a moving and well-fitting song.

Here’s a vote for Elena’s feelings towards the Salvatores in season 4 (though personally I think the lyrics also skew towards Damon talking to Elena, especially ‘change your mind and say you’re mine’…oh, hell, ALL THE LYRICS… I’m voting this the unofficial Damon theme song for season 4 haha).
